We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a lively and educational volunteer education session on Monday, December 9 with Estella Chung about her new book, the biography of Hillwood’s founder entitled Marjorie Merriweather Post: The Life Behind the Luxury. We know there is a lot of interest from our volunteers in this new biography, the first definitive biography from Hillwood. Please choose one of the three sessions, which are offered at 10:30 am, 2:00 pm, or 6:30 pm in the visitor center theater.

In advance of our volunteer education session, we hope you’ll enjoy familiarizing yourself with the new biography by reading the book prior to the December training. It is available for sale in the museum shop, and copies are also available in the volunteer library and in the mansion coat room.

We expect many volunteers will be interested in asking Estella questions about the biography, so once you have finished the book, please submit questions in advance via this survey. This will help us use our time wisely on December 9, and know ahead of time what topics are most of interest to you! Please submit your questions by Friday, November 29.
