New! Family Garden Treasure Hunt

Building on the success of the printed mansion treasure hunts for families introduced in February, we are excited to present a new treasure hunt, this time with a focus on the gardens, debuting in July.

We are pleased to have the garden treasure hunt ready in time for Hillwood’s two big family moments in July: French Festival on Saturday, July 13 and Tanabata: The Japanese Star Festival on Saturday, July 27. Families will be able to use the new garden treasure hunt to explore the gardens, including the French parterre and Japanese-style garden, at these festivals.

As with the mansion treasure hunts, volunteers will distribute the new treasure hunt from the visitor center tour desk, so families can head out from the visitor center with ways to discover Hillwood.

We invite you to try out the new treasure hunt to familiarize yourself with it. Please note that for the first month, we will be using an alternate version of the hunt that substitutes the winter statute with a statue on the Friendship Walk, while the Four Seasons Overlook is temporarily closed. We hope you have fun exploring and engaging visitors with this new tool.

We appreciate the contributions from others in developing this treasure hunt, including the helpful input from volunteers. Please continue to share your feedback with us as you begin distributing the new garden treasure hunt to families.
