As many of you may have heard, DC is enacting stronger measures in response to the increase of COVID-19 cases. These measures include the closing of museums. In compliance with the mayor’s orders, Hillwood will be closing at the end of business on Wednesday, December 23. As Hillwood normally closes in January, this is merely an earlier closing for us.

With no on-site visitors, the virtual greeter shifts will be canceled starting on Thursday, December 24. Virtual mansion tours and virtual metadata volunteer shifts will continue as scheduled.

We greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigate this unprecedented time together. We are monitoring the situation closely and will notify all when we resume volunteer activities.
