Mansion Display Update & Driving and Parking Reminder

As we move further into this vibrant fall season, we’re pleased to share a brief update from the Collections team, as well as some important seasonal reminders regarding driving and parking at Hillwood.

Mansion Display Update: French Drawing Room

On Tuesday, October 21, the Collections team rotated the Good Trouble Vase (2021.4.1-2) by contemporary artist Roberto Lugo, on view in the French drawing room. The vase has been turned to feature the side depicting Congressman John Lewis. The vase will continue to be rotated once or twice a year.

To learn more about Roberto Lugo, please enjoy exploring the resources below:

These resources are also available on the 2025 Exhibition Information & Mansion Display Updates page on the volunteer website.

Driving and Parking Reminder

We appreciate your continued cooperation with Hillwood’s Security team in following parking guidelines. Please be aware that, based on daily attendance, Security may provide updated parking instructions to volunteers and staff. Thank you for your attentiveness and flexibility to adapt as needed.

Our Horticulture team is hard at work keeping walkways, steps, and service roads clear of leaves – an ongoing task this time of year. Please be especially cautious, as wet leaves can create slip and trip hazards and reduce traction on vehicles. As a reminder, the maximum speed limit on Hillwood’s grounds is 15 MPH, conditions permitting.

Thank you, as always, for your commitment to Hillwood and for helping us provide a safe and welcoming experience for all.
