Upcoming Virtual Volunteer Education

Hillwood is pleased to share the virtual volunteer education programming beginning this fall. In transitioning our educational efforts to an online platform, we hope to continue fostering your connection and engagement with Hillwood during this time of social distancing. We look forward to seeing you online in the coming weeks!

Volunteer Q&A Session: A Garden for All Seasons

Date: Thursday, September 10 (3 p.m.)

Capacity: Open to all active volunteers

Join Hillwood’s executive director Kate Markert on Thursday, September 10 at 3 p.m. via Zoom for a Q&A session on her new book, A Garden for All Seasons. In this 30-minute live session, Kate will review the main take-ways from her research, discuss the process for writing Hillwood’s newest publication, and answer questions submitted by volunteers via the Q&A feature in Zoom. An email with the Zoom link and instructions will be sent closer to the program date.

In advance of the program, we hope you will enjoy familiarizing yourself with Hillwood’s first definitive publication on Hillwood’s gardens by watching the recording of the September 2 livestream lecture and reading the book prior to the September 10 session. The book is for sale in the museum shop and Hillwood’s online store. The video link of the September 2 livestream lecture will be emailed to volunteers later that week.

Please note: To purchase tickets for the September 2 livestream lecture, visit the Events and Programs page on Hillwood’s website or call 202.686.5807.
