To view the detailed position description, click on the blue links below.\u00a0<\/p><p><b><u>Interpretation Volunteer Roles:<\/u><\/b><\/p><p>Interpretation volunteers engage with Hillwood visitors and provide administrative support to multiple departments. For more information on interpretation volunteer roles, please contact <a href=\"mailto:volunteers@hillwoodmuseum.org\">volunteers@hillwoodmuseum.org<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p><a href=\"http:\/\/volunteer.hillwoodmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/PD-Collections-Volunteer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Collections Volunteers<\/strong><\/a> provide administrative support to the collections division.\u00a0<\/p><p><a href=\"http:\/\/volunteer.hillwoodmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/2024_Position-Description_Family-Art-Volunteer.pdf\"><strong>Family Arts Volunteers\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>facilitate art-making activities with families and adults at public programs.<\/p><p><a href=\"http:\/\/volunteer.hillwoodmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/PD-Garden-Docent.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Garden Docents<\/strong> <\/a>conduct regularly scheduled garden tours throughout the spring and fall seasons (April through June and September through November, equating to approximately 22 weeks annually). They also conduct specially scheduled VIP, focus, and\/or group tours in the gardens.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p><a href=\"http:\/\/volunteer.hillwoodmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/PD-Library-Support-Volunteer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Library Support Volunteers<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0perform tasks to maintain the smooth operations of day-to-day and long-term functions of the library.<\/p><p><a href=\"http:\/\/volunteer.hillwoodmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/PD-Mansion-Docent.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mansion Docents<\/strong><\/a> conduct mansion tours, serve on-station in the mansion, dacha and\/or Adirondack building as needed, assist with public programming and special events, and assure a positive, enjoyable visitor experience.<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/volunteer.hillwoodmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/PD-Metadata-Volunteer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Metadata Volunteers<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>perform tasks that contribute to the continued progression and success of the Bentley Project.<\/p><p><a href=\"http:\/\/volunteer.hillwoodmuseum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/PD_Visitor-Services-Volunteer-2023.pdf\"><strong>Visitor Services Volunteers<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>greet and orient visitors at the tour desk in the visitor center, help visitors and answer questions in the mansion and auxiliary buildings, assist with special events and public programming, and assure a positive and enjoyable visitor experience.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Horticulture Volunteer Roles:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p>Horticulture volunteers assist with the maintenance of Hillwood&#8217;s gardens, grounds, and greenhouses.
